An idea that went from this by way of this to become these three crystal flowers in this "New Flora" series.
For the technically inclined: Modeled in Wings3D, rendered in Bryce, then turned to B&W, tinted and blurred in Photoshop.
Now I think I've had enough of flowers and pointy things for a while...
